Are you aware of your rights as student at Lund University?

Together with the student unions, the Student Ombudsman safeguards your rights during your studies.

 

Have you taken an exam and waited more than 15 working days to get it graded? Have you not been given the opportunity to retake a compulsory part of a course, even though you were sick? Do you feel that you have been discriminated against by a teacher?

If you answer yes to any of these questions, or in any other way have experienced injustice or wrongfullness at the university, do not hesitate to contact your student union or the Student Ombudsman for advice and support.

Are you aware of your rights?

If you encounter something that feels unjust or wrong during your studies, it is advisable to first get a copy of the university “List if rights” to check if one of the rights listed is applicable to your situation.

If you require support during your studies, the university has a number of support projects in which you can participate.

Do you know about your student union?

Each faculty at Lund university has an associated student union. At the unions, dedicated sabbatical officiers work hard to ensure that your time at Lund university is as good as possible. You can contact your union at any time for general questions, or to report a problem or concern. The student unions and the Student Ombudsman are in close collaboration.
